Digital printing refers to a technique of printing done using electronic or digital files from digital storage device or a personal computer. Digital printing does not depend on any press plate to transport the image and there is no need of setup sheets. The production costs are lower, while digital printing has replaced lithography in several markets.
Digital printing uses a faster image directly sent to the printer with the assistance of graphics software and digital files. A faster image is referred to as bitmap and has on display space the X &Y coordinates to illuminate. It saves effort, time and money.
